Hey Text and Rockers.

Here’s our first full digital book! We are proud to bring you RE-MYTHOLOGY. 7 HOOKS FOR RETHINKING THE BIBLE STORIES THAT GREW YOU UP.

What happens when the myths we grew up with no longer make sense? When the sacred stories we once trusted feel distant, outdated, or even false? Re-Mythology is a bold exploration of how ancient narratives can still offer wisdom—if we learn to see them in a new light.

For centuries, humanity has interpreted and reinterpreted sacred texts, adapting them to fit new cultural landscapes. Many of the methods used to understand and reinterpret the Bible—such as allegory, symbolism, and literary analysis—were first developed by Greek scholars studying The Iliad and The Odyssey. The way ancient thinkers wrestled with Homer’s myths laid the foundation for how religious traditions would later make sense of their own sacred texts. Yet today, many struggle to reconcile these ancient interpretive traditions with modern knowledge, feeling torn between faith and reason.

This book invites you to step beyond rigid interpretations and rediscover the transformative power of mythology, scripture, and storytelling.

Okay that’s it.

Just click the giant album cover below and enjoy!

Also there’s some bonuses at the bottom. Cheers.

Be good to each other,

BONUSES.

Hey Text and Rocker! Here’s a printable poster. If you so desire, you can have this printed at shutterfly, mpix, or any professional poster/photo company. You can also print it on your home printer and it should still look pretty banger. Worst case scenario, you can just admire it here or ignore it entirely. Haha!

Here’s a fun surprise!

Re-Mythology is an attempt to artfully and simply explain how 1) the interpretation of the Bible has always been a moving target and 2) a lot of Biblical Scholarship originated in Greek Scholars trying to come to terms with the mythological elements in Homer. So… here’s one of the first audio-meditations I ever did trying to practice what I preached with the creation accounts which begin the Bible..

Ancient story and artifact meets lo-fi and Mediterranean hip hop in this journey to reclaim the art of the Bible’s creation story. Poetry… in cosmological motion. haha!

If you grew up with the Bible and it seemed like you were the only one who had serious questions about the creation story... here is a way forward with full acceptance of science and reason applied to ancient literature in context.

We think this can profoundly help you rediscover who you are and what you are here to do and how to hold the sacred text of your childhood now that you've grown up.

Along the way you'll

  • learn how the world made in Genesis 1 is less "planet spinning in space and more cosmic snow globe floating safely through chaos waters."

  • discover how in creation myths, the creator God makes the world by separating into realms (sky, land, sea) and assigning roles (flying things, land animals, sea creatures).

  • observe what it means in context to be made in the statue (צלם) of the divine counsel and ask "what is the best way to be a divine counsel mini-figure anyways?"

  • meet a lovable collection of archetypal-first-humans from near Eastern Literature and consider what the first humans in first human stories actually represent.

  • explore ancient artifacts and musings from ancient literature like the Book of the Dead and the Epic of Gilgamesh to Seneca, New Testament authors, and Rabbinic Midrash Agaddah.

And so here you go!

Heart, Mark
